I studied Software Engineering at Bahria University and started working in 2009 in backend development — databases, web applications and the day-to-day realities of keeping production systems running.
Fairly quickly, the more interesting problems turned out not to be purely technical. The question that kept mattering more was a simple one, and it still frames how I work today.
At M&M Group in Dubai I worked as a Full Stack Senior Software Engineer and back-end developer on large commercial platforms — including Classonet and GetGulfJob — across social networking, classifieds and recruitment.

As National Portal Implementation Expert for the Ministry of Commerce, I worked on e-Tijarat — a national e-commerce information portal. Public-sector systems raise the bar on clarity, accessibility and doing things in the open.
Working with the Asian Development Bank and BISP — first on UI/UX and operational manuals, then on MIS, social protection systems and grievance redress (GRMS) — put process and governance at the centre.
